Ahhhh, birthdays ... another wonderful reason to get all dolled up. My cousin was in town this weekend with her sister to celebrate her day in fab fashion and we did it up. She chose to dine at 4th & Swift in the Old Fourth Ward of Atlanta, which occupies what was formerly the engine room to Southern Dairies. Dim and sultry, 4th & Swift retains the exposed brick, concrete and beams with updates of  warm woods, rich fabrics, brushed metals and soft lighting. In an exhibition kitchen facing the dining room, its chefs specialize in dishes like Maryland Blue Crab Cake,  Hazelnut Crusted Blue Ridge Trout and "Bistro Steak" -- their exceptional spin on comfort foods. An evening with high heels and comfort foods ... Does it get any better than that?

  7. I will admit, it's kind of hard to believe when we're all together. At times, we carry on like we're still teenagers having a slumber party.
