Cast Away | Ocho Rios, Jamaica

July 13, 2013

By Katrice

My trip in May to Ochie was not my first, but somehow it felt like it. Possibly because I was completely cast away with very little obligation. I spent a great deal of time taking photos of the beautiful Jamaica Inn where I stayed and landscape around the property and town.

A couple of hammocks are strewn throughout the property. I love the entire idea of it.

Jerk Chicken, of course.

I could not get a good shot of the sunrise from my cottage. But, sunsets more than made up for it.

The walk to my cottage.

Guests frequently leave books behind in the suites and cottages.

Once this breakfast on the deck happened, I didn't go to the restaurant for morning meals anymore.

Bread is baked fresh every morning at Jamaica Inn. It kind of changed my life.

The view from one of the workshops at Artist Laura Facey's farm. | One of her beautiful dogs.

Inside the mainhouse, which Facey's made a gallery on the bottom floor. | One her Radiant Combs.

Workshop tools. | Loved this pick.

Inside the wood working shop.

I was enamored with is fisherman. I watched him every sunrise.

One morning he took his time and cast his net alone.

There is a gorgeous photo in the Jamaica Inn's library of this view. I wanted to recreate it.
