It's always fun for me to freshen up my closet at the beginning of warm and cool weather seasons with a couple of pieces that add some flare to my staple favorites. During the fall, I live in oversized cardigans, leather leggings, high-waist jeans and blazers because my motivation revolves around warmth and functional style. But, I do love the thought of adding more tunics and jumpsuits to my rotation as I find them quintessentially stylish. So, I'm excited to have had the opportunity to choose a few items from Femme Luxe for the fall.
While browsing the brand's offerings, I really thought about items that I would want to wear a lot without hesitation whether hanging out with friends or as I'm embarking upon adventure in my career.
Femme Luxe is known for its fast-fashion appeal of trendy new styles to choose from weekly. The influencer-inspired fashion brand has everything from dresses to coordinates, loungewear and jeans, and you won't break the bank on any of it.

Oversized Sweatshirt Dress

Because the fall and much of the winter in the south rarely gets cool enough for more than a jacket, I have a ton of sweatshirts that I dress up and down. The super loungey Camel Oversized Sweater Mini Dress (Ola) was an easy pick for me. I'm happy that it looks and fits exactly like it did on the model. It's soft and actually has enough weight to it that I'm sure I'll be able to wear it alone or with a fur vest and be comfortable.

Metallic Bodysuit

Tank tops are my jam but they're rarely dressy enough for anything beyond leisure. I opt for a smart bodysuit before a blouse most of the time. So, this Silver Metallic Plunge Wrap Bodysuit (Elsa) was an immediate yes for me. As soon as I put it on, I could imagine several looks and occasions that it would be perfect for. The only thing I'd change is that it could use a bit more spandex for a more compressed feel in the midsection. But, I'll handle the need for that with more intensity in my ab workout. Ha!
Velvet Loungewear Set

I somehow missed the fact that my stomach would be exposed when I chose the Grey Velvet Wide Leg Loungewear Set (Ava). Is there an age limit for crop tops??? (I kid.) But, it will be comfy for lounging because I am almost positive I won't be walking around outside of my house with my navel peeking out. We'll see though because the set is so soft and comfortable on that it will be getting plenty of wear for sure.

(Guess who's back)
My fro grew out from the short cropped cut I was wearing last year at this time that I didn't even have time to thoroughly zero in on what new products were on the market. Suave Naturals Shampoo, Moisturizing Curl Conditioner and This Curl Defining Cream ... is ideal for curls that need a little help coming back to life. The creamy formula will help enhance natural curl patterns, adding moisture, shine and touchable softness. Pair with Suave Professionals For Natural Hair Sulfate-Free Cleansing Shampoo and Suave Professionals For Natural Hair Moisturizing Curl Conditioner for deeply nourished, shiny hair.

(Wildly long, wispy lashes)
I love a good lash strip as much as the next girl, but there are some gooooood drugstore beauty brand mascara options that are doing everything I need.

The old adage, "when you look better, you feel better" is dramatically under-considered.
People often ask me what I'm doing to my hair to make it appear so soft or what scent I'm wearing, and it has made me realize that the finishing touches on a look — even simple ones (you don't always have to be in a full face of makeup) — can make a notable difference in not only the way you look but also how you feel. My beauty outlook and routine is very much influenced by the elder women who seasoned me as a girl. I loved walking into my grandmother's room and smelling her perfume in the air. I studied my mom's routine of moisturizing her skin. Women at my church almost always completed an ensemble with a brooch ... I do that very same thing now, in jeans and dresses. Because when I have taken a bit of extra time in my beauty routine, I feel it.
I save major perfume purchases for splurge occasions but rollerball-size fragrance options have changed that. I can try the newest scents for a fraction of the cost everywhere from department stores to Sephora, Victoria's Secret and even Zara.

A pop of mascara can brighten up your whole face.

I don't spend a lot of time researching natural products but a while back Nubian Heritage sent me a sample of its African Black Soap Deodorant, and it is amazing. It has a super lovely scent that is literally like slathering luxury under your arms. I mean ... really. (It's the little things!)
