The cornerstone of my first New York Fashion Week experience was being among the throng Tibi enthusiasts for Amy Smilovic's Spring 2013 presentation. I had been receiving invitations for the past few years and unable to attend before this season. So, I'd wager to say that models in paper bags could have been walking the runway and I'd have been equally as attentive. This, of course, was not the case.
Clean lines, subdued prints, muted colors and leather were the stories of the collection. Obviously more understated than earlier spring lines with a hearty dose of black, a leather peplum top was, for me, the moment of the evening. While, the menswear-esque Tibi trouser was also a favorite.
My seat was well positioned at the second turn of the runway; Nevertheless, I abandoned it — cramming into a spot in the corner with photographers for a visual recap ... Certainly superior to any overview I could provide.

{Thank goodness my Droid Incredible didn't fail me for this impromptu pic of Olivia Palermo}
